It's one of those magical days in Vegas! More than 50 of the most beautiful girls on the planet are arriving at the same time as two basketball legends help build a playground for one of our schools, and Toni Braxton reveals a Valentine Day's secret. Now isn't that nice to celebrate love in all the right places!
Let's start with Miss America. For the 2nd consecutive year the Aladdin/Planet Hollywood hotel plays host to the 52 contestants for the 2007 Miss America pageant. They will all arrive this afternoon in the newly re-modeled resort's lobby where our all-time favorite Mayor of Mirth, Oscar Goodman and hotel chieftain Mike Mecca will officially welcome them.
Tomorrow the beauties will do their first "meet and greet" with Vegas fans on the main catwalk model runway at the Fashion Show Mall opposite the Wynn and TI. For the next week the girls will be spotted all over town, but never later than their nightly 10PM curfew. So don't expect any Britney-Spears-like late club crawls!
Then, towards the end of next week, after all the final fittings of gowns and outfits the preliminary competitions get underway, all leading to the grand finale to be telecast live on CMT on Monday week (Jan 29) Luxe Life will be with them every step of the way with daily updates, and on the big night we'll have front-row and behind the scenes full photo coverage. The excitement begins today and ramps up to mass hysteria in 10-days-time!
