Miss America 2010 Caressa Cameron had a busy week full of exciting activities! On Monday, Caressa enjoyed a private lunch at Cafe Milano, hosted by MAO Board Member, Tammy Haddad for media outlets from the DC area.  Caressa enjoyed a private luncheon with the writers and was able to discuss a broad range of topics.  At the end of the meal, restauranteur Franco Nuchese surprised her with his own creation – a chocolate Miss America sculpture.

After D.C. Caressa traveled to NYC where she had the opportunity to open the 140 Characters Conference. This event was the largest worldwide gathering of people interested in the effects of real-time Internet on both business and "we" the people. Click here to watch Caressa open the conference! That evening, Caressa attended a gala event where Pepsi Co. and Waste Management announced their recycling initiative. The host for the evening was actress Aisha Tyler, and Caressa was so excited to meet her!

at the 40th Anniversary of Earth Day Celebration

 

Caressa celebrated the 40th anniversary of Earth Day and the annual Great American Cleanup effort, in Times Square where she helped launch Keep America Beautiful's "Green Starts Here" rally. The Earth Day festivities included an appearance by Mayor Bloomberg, a performance by Broadway stars and a performance by our very own, Miss America 2010 Caressa Cameron!

 

Tonight, Caressa is in D.C. to receive the Whitman Walker Award for her dedication to HIV/AIDS Awareness and then performing at Talladega this weekend!
