Miss New Jersey- USA, relinquishes title over pregnancy

Washington, Jan 16 (ANI): Miss New Jersey- USA -2007, Ashley Harder has voluntarily relinquished her title, as the 20-year-old, crowned in October 2006, is expecting her first child in summer later this year.

Harder, expecting to marry her live in boyfriend, cannot participate in The Miss USA contest, which is due to take place on March 23, 2007, since the pageant rules do not allow contestants to compete while pregnant, according to Philadelphia Daily News.

Donald Trump, owner of Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants has given his best wishes to Harder.

Harder is the third in the line to have had trouble with her title, first reigning Miss USA, Tara Conner was ordered by Trump to spend time in the rehab and Miss Nevada- Katie Rees set the second bone of contention, when her raunchy photographs were found on the net. (ANI)
