In support of a couple of little sister princesses participating in the Miss Lane County, Miss Linn Benton, Miss University of Oregon, and Lane County's Perfect Teen scholarship programs, I headed to Eugene, Oregon to cheer on the 40 plus ladies vying for their chance to go to the Miss Oregon Scholarship program later this summer.
The house was packed as the families and friends of the contestants gathered to cheer for their contestants. As it turned out, I was seated next to Britanee Buckingham's family who had a lot to celebrate at the end of a long evening.
Congratulations to program executive director Nicole Akins for a fabulous event! Good luck in Seaside, ladies!
