INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Indiana's own Katie Stam is wowing the country as the new Miss America.
Monday was a media blitz in New York City. The Seymour-native said it was her first time there.
The University of Indianapolis senior started her reign Saturday night when she beat out 51 other women for the crown. She'll spend the year traveling the country.
