The 2009 Miss America Pageant is an anniversary year for Judi Ford Nash of Geneseo. She was chosen to wear the crown in 1969, and will take part in this year’s pageant in Las Vegas.
The Miss America Pageant will air at 7 p.m. Jan. 24 on TLC-TV in the Quad Cities.
She and her husband, Geneseo attorney Jim Nash, will travel to Las Vegas where Nash has been invited to participate in the pageant by introducing some of this year’s contestants in the talent competition.
All events will be held at Planet Hollywood, Nash said.
“I haven’t been back to a pageant since 2004, which was the last year the pageant was held in Atlantic City, N.J.,” she said, adding that also was the 50th anniversary of the first telecast of the Miss America Pageant.
Judi Ford Nash, the 1969 Miss America Pageant winner, will travel to Las Vegas to introduce some of the contestants in the talent portion of the 2009 pageant.
