Pageant organizers say they are considering using a viewer-voting format like that of “American Idol” to help make it popular with the television audience.
“Miss America: Countdown to the Crown” will allow viewers to vote in four contestants who will join 11 previously chosen finalists.
The four-part reality series ends Friday on TLC. The pageant airs live Saturday night from Las Vegas.
