WOW! What a busy weekend as a mommy, wife, advocate and Mrs. Southern California! There is a pageant saying, Have Crown, Will Travel… this was so true this weekend. Friday was the Seal Beach Holiday Parade… SO MUCH FUN! Getting to the parade was, as always, complicated. My husband flew home early to attend with us, and to drive the car (Thank you to Newport Auto Center for the beautiful 2010 Audi Convertible!). After a full day of work and flights we finally got started down the parade route… the people are amazing. I love watching the little girls eyes light up and the boys being silly. I was able to spend some time talking to the girls in the California Youth Spirit Corps, the same group I was part of 17 years ago. Such bright young ladies, so cute and just loved the crown. Then down the parade route little girls were yelling ‘Hello Princess’… my daughter kept looking around for a princess and then said…’Oh they are talking about you mommy’ ha ha… yes, out of the mouth of babes. |
