'ACCESS HOLLYWOOD'S' NANCY O'DELL WILL HOST THE 2007 MISS USA PAGEANT TELECAST LIVE ON NBC FROM LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA ON FRIDAY, MARCH 23rd, 9-11 p.m. ET/PT.

NEW YORK February 22, 2007 NBC announced today that Access Hollywood's Nancy O'Dell will host the 2007 Miss USA Pageant, live telecast from the Kodak Theatre in the famed 'glamour capital' of the world, Hollywood, on Friday, March 23 at 9-11 p.m. ET/PT. * O'Dell is hosting for the fourth consecutive year.

"NBC is thrilled that Nancy O'Dell ("Access Hollywood") will be back to host the 56th Annual Miss USA Pageant on March 23rd, said Kevin Reilly, President, NBC Entertainment. "Nancy is a consummate professional and as a former title holder herself, brings an insiders feel to the many viewers of the pageant who have come to respect and adore her. We are fortunate to have her as part of our team."

The 56th Annual Miss USA Pageant, where Miss USA 2006 Tara Conner will crown her successor at the conclusion of the two-hour primetime telecast, makes a return to Los Angeles after airing the last two years live from Baltimore, Maryland.

Miss USA travels the nation as an advocate for breast and ovarian cancer awareness, education, research, and legislation. Each contestant from 50 states and the District of Columbia will be judged in three categories: swimsuit, evening gown and interview.

O'Dell serves as the co-anchor of "Access Hollywood," the daily entertainment newsmagazine currently in its 11th season of providing the most comprehensive coverage of entertainment news and personalities on television. She was part of "Access Hollywood's" on-air team when the show launched in 1996, serving as weekend co-anchor and weekday correspondent. An award-winning journalist, O'Dell has been honored with three Associated Press Awards, two Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) Awards, and is a six-time Emmy Award nominee. In addition, she was nominated two years in a row (1999 and 2000) for the prestigious Publicist Guild of America's Press Award, recognizing excellence in entertainment reporting. O'Dell was Miss South Carolina 1987.
