NASHVILLE, TN, ATLANTIC CITY, NJ and LAS VEGAS, NV – August 24 2006 – The 2007 MISS AMERICA PAGEANT will return to the Aladdin Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, it was announced today by Sarah Brock, vice president production, music and events, CMT; Art McMaster, president and CEO of the Miss America Organization; and Michael Mecca, president and CEO for the Aladdin Resort and Casino. The two-hour telecast will air live on CMT, Monday, January 29, 2007 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

“The Miss America Organization could not be happier to return to the host hotel, the Aladdin Resort & Casino, which exceeded our expectations in January with the debut of our Las Vegas show,” said McMaster. “We are thrilled that the city of Las Vegas has embraced our Organization again and our legendary Pageant. This venue will be the perfect compliment to our 2007 show which will introduce a growing audience to the tradition, rich in history, of Miss America.”

“Last year’s Pageant was a huge success for CMT and we’re pleased to be in business again with Mike Mecca’s team at the Aladdin,” said Brock, executive producer for CMT. “Their first class facilities will once again provide the framework for what promises to be another landmark achievement for the network and Miss America.”

“We are delighted that CMT and the Miss America Pageant are returning to the Aladdin as we transition into the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino,” said Mecca. “Las Vegas embraced this event last year and it is only fitting that it is returning to our city and to this property. We are home to the most beautiful theatre in Las Vegas, which will be newly renovated when the pageant comes back in January, and our transformation into Planet Hollywood will be very close to complete for the weekend of events.”

Miss America’s activities at the Aladdin begin with the Pageant Preliminaries, which include swimsuit, talent and evening wear competitions, on Thursday, January 25 and continue through Saturday, January 27 at the newly-remodeled Theatre for the Performing Arts. Tickets to the preliminaries and the Pageant Finals will be available to the public at www.ticketmaster.com.

Last month, CMT announced an expanded programming strategy to support the 2007 MISS AMERICA PAGEANT, which includes some nine hours of television devoted to Miss America. This programming features a two-hour contestant special, which will air on CMT and its sister networks, VH1, MTV and Logo; a one-hour special on Miss America 2006, Jennifer Berry; a one-hour look at GREATEST MISS AMERICA MOMENTS; and Miss America features on the popular CMT TOP 20 COUNTDOWN and CMT INSIDER. Additional programming will be available exclusively on the CMT LOADED, VOD, CMT.com, CMT Radio and CMT Mobile.

The 2006 MISS AMERICA PAGEANT premiered on CMT last January and ranks as the most-watched telecast in CMT’s history with total viewers*. Since its premiere, re-airings of the Pageant have been seen by more than 22 million different viewers.

For the first time in its 85 year history, the MISS AMERICA PAGEANT took place outside of Atlantic City and debuted in Las Vegas at the Aladdin Resort & Casino. Jennifer Berry, of Oklahoma, is the current Miss America.
