THE poolside of the Hilton Kingston Hotel was transformed into a haven of style and beauty last Wednesday evening as the Miss Jamaica World 2006 hopefuls were feted at a cocktail party hosted by the hotel's general manager Frank Rosheuvel. It was an absolutely divine evening of sisterhood bonding, mingling of spirits and catching up.
During the festive occasion, the contestants got the opportunity to meet and greet guests and clients of the hotel. Importantly, they also got the chance to talk with Miss Jamaica Worlds of the past, including the fabulous Joan MacDonald (1978), the effortlessly elegant Selena Delgado (1996) and Ayesha Richards (2000), a pregnant Desiree Depass-Pullen (1999) and the ever-flawless Lisa Hanna (1993), who were all in attendance.

Photos of the past winners lined the walkway, giving the evening a somewhat nostalgic ambience. As they enjoyed the delicious cocktails and the live music and lymed with the contestants, the past winners talked with the media about their lives since winning the crown and gave their thoughts about this year's contestants and the growth of the competition over the years.
