APPLETON — Michelyn Cynthia Butler, 24, a student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, was chosen Saturday as Miss Fox River Valley 2007 at the Thompson Community Center, 820 W. College Ave.
In talent competition, Butler, the daughter of Micheal and Darlene Butler, performed a tap dance to "Luck Be A Lady." The former University of Florida student competed in the 2005 Miss Florida pageant as Miss River City/Jacksonville but didn't place in the competition.
Placing first runner-up to Butler was Sarah Rose Seegert, 24, of South Milwaukee, who was Miss West Allis 2006 and Miss St. Francis in 2001.
The vocalist is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
