Every gown, suit, cocktail and wedding dress strutted across the stage Sunday is certainly "A George Original."

A vintage fashion show set to honor late Oshkosh designer George Procknow gets underway at 2 p.m. Sunday inside the Grand Opera House, at 100 High Ave. "Originals By George" will feature 52 garments.

"It's a specific tribute to the genius of Mr. George Procknow," said Jane Westphal, co-chairwoman of the fashion show, which features Procknow's work from the '50s and '60s.

"He spent most of his adult life working in men's textiles, women's fashions. Original, simple, beautiful clothing specifically for the individual was very much his strength," Westphal said.

Procknow also designed pageant wear for 1964 Miss Wisconsin Angela Baldi and 1965 Miss Wisconsin (and fourth runner up at Miss America) Sharon Singstock Bury; both women will be guests at Sunday's show.
