It's all about keeping your head on straight, right? Here I was, 10 minutes before showtime, and experiencing some sort of pageant zen. For the first time ever during a pageant, I was just happy to be there. I wasn't analyzing, documenting or covertly serving my little anthropological interests. I was just simply happy.
