If you get through to Caitlin Morrall’s voice mail – her cell phone is about the only place to reach her these days – you get to hear her new title.

“Hi, you’ve reached the voice mail of Caitlin Morrall, Miss Wisconsin USA 2007.”

Morrall, a contestant in the Miss America local pageant system for the last five years and the first runner up at the Miss Wisconsin pageant this June, decided to switch tracks this summer.
It paid off immediately, as Morrall won the Miss Wisconsin USA title Saturday in Richland Center.

With the victory, Morrall earned the right to compete at the Miss USA next spring. The date and site have not yet been confirmed.

Over the next year, she will promote breast and ovarian cancer awareness – the official platform of the Miss USA organization.

Morrall squeaked in her application for the Miss USA on Aug. 3, in the last week of the application process. She still had a year’s worth of eligibility in the Miss America system, and wasn’t sure which direction to go.
