Miss World beauties flock to Poland’s cultural Mecca

WARSAW.- The contestants of the Miss World Pageant are flocking to Poland’s western city of Wroclaw, a cultural Mecca on the country’s Odra river.

The contestants, upon arriving in the historical city’s main town square in a sunny afternoon, were cheered by thousands of locals who took part in a exhibition of paintings specially commissioned for the event.

The Miss World contestants took part in an exhibit with drawings which were prepared mostly by children and every Miss added her own touch and signed the work. This performance sought to capture the key spirit of each represented country and transpose it to canvas.

Paola Torres Cohen, Miss Dominican Republic worked together with a polish Boy, who accurately portrayed Quisqueya’s essence as a Caribbean island whose perspectives include a still developing yet strong tourism-based economy.
