Do GM’s troubles have you feeling down? During times of uncertainty, it’s always nice to see signs of consistency. Surprisingly or perhaps not surprisingly, during tough times Americans fall back on what they hold dearest and what David Marmel, the co-founder with Elaine Marmel of the Mrs. America Pageant says showcases “America’s greatest natural resource, it’s married women.” This is home and strong women.
There are and will be many more Mrs. pageants and now a woman can choose from several to find one that suits her personality, age and body shape, but the other pageants can thankfully point to David and Elaine Marmel for having started this genre of pageants which will hopefully continue as the longest running Mrs. pageant for a long time to come!
