Today, the Galaxy contestants had their interviews and preliminary pageants. Just looking briefly at what I've collected I may have to make two shows out of the interviews. I love having that kind of problem!
The contestants were all beautiful, as expected, and we had a lot of fun interviews. I had my first ever translated interview with Miss Teen Puerto Rico Galaxy so that is another milestone achieved.
Additionally, I met Penny Geisler of TFTJ.com fame who was just one of the esteemed judges for the pageant. This was our first face-to-face meeting and it was really great to finally meet properly.
Teen and Miss Galaxy prelims were first. The room was packed even for this prelim, underscoring the fact that Galaxy has outgrown their facility. The show went quite briskly and the Fashion and Gown competitions seemed to meld into each other--sometimes difficult to tell where one began and the other ended. These ladies knew how to work their wardrobe! It was a fun and fast-paced event!
The Ms. And Mrs. Galaxy prelims were next. While we found our seats to the sweetsounds of smooth jazz, we prepared for what was sure to be a dynamic competition. And it was, but we will have to wait for tomorrow to find out the results...
