Nearly three years ago, when Tracey Grossbauer read in the newspaper that there was a beauty pageant for married women, she had to think twice.
The lawyer and mother of two recently had her second child. And, even though it had been nearly two years, she was having trouble losing the weight she'd gained.
She weighed close to 200 pounds.
"I struggled with obesity after both pregnancies," she said, "so I decided to challenge myself."
She gave herself nine months to get ready for a beauty pageant.
"I didn't even know they had pageants for married women," said the 37-year-old Mrs. Delaware International.
She lost some weight on her own, but lost nearly 60 pounds through the L.A. Weight Loss program, which offers a personalized counseling, exercise and diet regimen. She now weighs 125 pounds.
