Ellis looking forward to Miss USA in April

The 19-year-old Whitehouse graduate and Lake Tyler resident is following a clear path she has set for herself. It is working beautifully. Ellis was recently selected as Miss Houston. If that were not enough happiness for any young woman, she won the Miss Texas USA pageant on June 25 in Laredo.
But winning that title means she'll compete in the Miss USA pageant in April.
And if she wins the Miss Photogenic portion of that contest, watch out. That's because the local beauty has won Miss Photogenic recognition in four pageants. Each time she has gone on to win the pageant.
Needless to say, the young woman, a sophomore at the University of Houston studying communications and Spanish, is feeling pretty good right now.
