FORMER Miss Universe Jennifer Hawkins has been mobbed by fans while mixing business with leisure in Queensland's Whitsundays.
The 22-year-old model and TV personality is on Daydream Island with her sister Kristy Vitnell after last week signing on as the first Australian face of Covergirl makeup.
But hundreds of people turned out to greet her yesterday when she officiated at the Daydream Island Resort and Spa open day.
Visitors said Hawkins posed for countless happy holiday snaps, chatted with guests and signed autographs.
"I'm not sure the poor girl ever gets a break," one guest said.
"I couldn't believe how happy she was to let me take her photo with the kids."
While Hawkins, who stars as a host on Channel 7 travel show The Great Outdoors, was attracting attention, rival Channel 9 travel program Getaway was also filming a segment on the island.
