Competes in Miss Florida USA pageant

After reigning as Miss Florida Teen USA in 2005, Victoria Ratliff hopes to win the crown in the Miss Florida USA pageant on Saturday, July 14. Only one other person has won both pageants.
Ratliff, 20, is the reigning Miss Tampa USA. She was the first person to be crowned Miss Tampa Teen USA and Miss Tampa USA.
More than 50 young women, including Ratliff, arrived in Hollywood Tuesday to begin rehearsals for the pageant. The private interviews with the judges are being held today.
“The interview is the most important aspect of the competition,” Ratliff said. “You need to know how you feel about the subject and tell them (the judges).”
The preliminary competition will be held on Friday. The final competition will be held at 7 p.m. at Broward Community College’s Bailey Hall in Hollywood. The pageant will be televised on Fox 49 (Tallahassee).
