Sharon Pearce confirms that come Aug. 1, the Miss America Organization will be moving out of its posh headquarters at the now ironically themed Miss America Sheraton in Atlantic City and heading for offices in Linwood, a tidy little bedroom town a few miles inland.
Not that anyone in Atlantic City still cares, really. With Miss America herself jettisoned by Country Music Television after only two years, people in her ancestral homeland by the sea just roll their eyes as the still-without-a-network pageant continues its seemingly unstoppable fade into total oblivion.
