Classical Violinist Claims Miss Madison 2007 Crown

Pageant Opened To All State Residents This Year

Pleasant Prairie native Christina Anna Thompson, 22, was chosen as Miss Madison 2007 on Sunday afternoon at the Madison Senior Center.Thompson, who played "Praeludium and Allegro" by Fritz Kreisler on the violin, was crowned by Miss Madison 2006, Kimberly Ann Pifer, a 2006 University of Wisconsin-Madison graduate from Cudahy, WISC-TV reported.

"I was exhilarated when they called my name" said Thompson moments after besting 12 others. "I immediately looked at my friends and family in appreciation for their support."Thompson is a 2002 graduate of Kenosha's Tremper High School and the daughter of Susanna Fry of Pleasant Prairie; and Gregg and Diane Thompson of Kenosha. She is a 2006 cum laude graduate of Vanderbilt University in Nashville, and is currently the membership coordinator for the Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestra in Madison.
