Jo-Anna participated in the Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser for the North Dakota Special Olympics. This well attended fundraiser was organized by Laura Lake, Area 6 Director, Special Olympics. The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year round sports training and athleticcompetition in a variety of Olympic type sports for children and adults with mental retardation, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills and friendships with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
The Special Olympics Oath is"Let me win. But if I cannot win, Let me be brave in the attempt."
