Mr. Food, ex-Miss America pen cookbook

Art Ginsburg may not be a familiar name to you, but have you ever seen Mr. Food on television? That's Art Ginsburg, who's been talking food and good health for years. Or you may recognize his signature "Ooh, it's so good" comment.

Ginsburg, wearing his Mr. Food hat, appeared for years on local television with his syndicated segments on cooking. Ginsburg, always opting for ease and good flavor, had a personality as delightful as the food he suggested.

Mr. Food knows his way around the kitchen. As one observer noted, Ginsburg has been on TV since Julia Child was first making her debut on the tube in black and white.

He wasn't a kid when he got in the television and cookbook business, but today he still has the youthful enthusiasm of someone just making a name for himself.

Most recently, along with Nicole Johnson, Miss America 1999, he came out with the second edition of "Mr. Food's Quick & Easy Diabetic Cooking," which contains more than 150 recipes. The book may be a boon to those with diabetes, but it also is a great book for anyone who likes good food simply prepared.
