MISS AMERICA 2008 KIRSTEN HAGLUND THREW THE SEASON’S CEREMONIAL FIRST PITCH, PERFORMED THE NATIONAL ANTHEM AND “GOD BLESS AMERICA” AT DETROIT TIGERS HOME OPENER

On March 31st, Miss America 2008 Kirsten Haglund “nailed it” as she threw out the ceremonial pitch for the home opener for the Detroit Tigers in front of a sold out crowd. Kirsten then, performed the National Anthem and during the 7^th inning stretch, sang “God Bless America” to celebrate Opening Day at Comerica Park.

Although the home team, the Detroit Tigers lost to the Kansas City Royals, the crowd was cheering for the newest all star and home town favorite, Kirsten Haglund. This marks Kirsten’s first singing performance at a national sporting event since being crowned Miss America.
