The Best Bet in the World: Scouting Miss World 2006

The Best Bet in the World: Scouting Miss World 2006 - Copyright FOTOLIAIf we guys really want to take a break from being a football watching couch potato this Saturday night, we could instead become a girl watching couch potato.
The fact that I had to do a double take wondering whether I would rather watch sweaty men tackle each other or observe gorgeous, young females boasting their beauty, worries me. Why can’t they compromise and have sweaty young females tackle each other? It’s the best of both worlds.
I have done the legwork, so to speak, in handicapping the 2006 Miss World competition. Sure The Online Wire should have flown more on location to Warsaw so I can scout first hand, but I did conduct reconnaissance. I looked at pictures.
If jaw dropping gorgeousness counts for anything—and luckily it does—Miss Aruba is worth a long look at +6600. Yes I said a long look. Northern Ireland’s Catherine Milligan won the talent competition by crooning a famous Irish folk song “She Moves through the Fair”. She is still a pretty long shot at +3300.

The young ladies from Venezuela, India, and Australia are the favorites. Keep an eye out for them. I will.
