Valerie Hayes - The Pageant Coach (TM) Teaching Life Skills that Transcend Pageantry! (TM): Beauty Queen on America’s Next Top Model

Well, this week the CW television network and Tyra Banks will launch the fall season of America’s Next Top Model. Yes, it’s another season of photo shoots, learning to walk in stilettos, and dealing with the stress of constant competition. The popular show kicks-off Cycle 11 with aspiring models including US Miss 2006, Joslyn Pennywell of Lucky, Louisiana. Joslyn is the 23 year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Calep and is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Arts at Grambling University where is she a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta Honors Society. In addition to being a successful pageant contestant, she is a former Ebony Fashion Fair model and has been in featured in two movies. Her community service activities include work with the American Red Cross, Starlight Star Bright Children’s Foundation, and Toys for Tots. Joslyn is just another example of how the skills developed through pageantry can help to create the future of your dreams. Don’t forget to tune in to the CW network on Wednesday, September 3rd and cheer Joslyn on to success. Who knows? She may be the first beauty queen to become America’s Next Top Model!
