I usually cut and paste articles in here as you know, but this story deserved a little more of a look. TMZ.com broke the story on December 14th and it is such a hot story that local and national news outlets all over are covering it.
Had Tara Conner saved someone with the Heimlich Maneuver it would never have gotten this attention.
Tara, as readers here know, is under U.S. drinking age and apparently she has been seen drinking in some of the clubs and "inappropriate behavior." I should state here that she has not yet been dethroned as mentioned in this official press release from Miss USA.
How do I feel about this? When you're a public figure, you should expect scrutiny, particularly in the world of pageantry. I have no idea if these allegations are factual or fictional, but if found true and the behavior broke those incredibly rigid contracts national titleholders have--heck, yes, give her the heave-ho. However, if the allegations are false, you still have to look at if she can perform those duties now that a "taint" is out there--which is the sad part of this story. It could turn out false and still affect her ability to do this job.
We'll know soon what MUO's decision is and you know you can look here for all the latest.
