Former beauty queen pleads no contest to drunken driving

Former Miss West Virginia USA Vickie Myers, who's contending a medical condition was responsible for her drunken driving arrests, pleaded no contest this week to first- and second-offense DUI.

The pleas could allow her to resume her work as a teacher in the Wood County school system.

Myers, 39, was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving on April 16 and June 15. She's been on home confinement and paid administrative leave from her teaching job for months.
