Staley wins 2007 Coulee Region pageant


VIROQUA, Wis. — Melissa Leigh Staley, 22, of Grafton, a nursing student at Alverno College, was chosen as Miss Coulee Region 2007 Saturday at the Viroqua Temple Theatre.

The second annual at-large pageant open for any contestant from Wisconsin was hosted by former Miss Arcadia 2005-06, Sarah Marie Dotta, 20, of Arcadia. Eleven women competed in this year’s pageant.

First runner-up was dancer Kimbre Leigh Hart, 23, of Sussex, a student at Carroll College. She also won the Hostess and Spirit of Miss America awards. Second runner-up was UW-L biology senior Tracy Ann MacKinnon, 22, of Plymouth, while Tiffany S. Krohn, 20, of Wisconsin Rapids, a UW-L sophomore, was third runner-up. Sarah S. Chandler, 19, of Greenfield was fourth runner-up.
