WHAT A TRANFORMATION: The Asbo to Beauty Queen contestants
The thorny English roses were plucked from the streets of Greater Manchester to take part in a six-week TV project.
Asbo Teen To Beauty Queen (Five, Wed, 8pm) swapped anti-social behaviour for poise, polish and new life skills.
The teen troublemakers had no idea what was in store – and were shocked when former American beauty queen Michelle Fryatt met them at a Manchester community centre to reveal their mission.
One went on to represent England in the biggest teen pageant in America – Miss Teen International – and most have had their lives changed for the better.
Beauty pageant veteran Michelle set the group a series of challenges, designed to reduce them to three finalists who flew to Chicago, home of Miss Teen.
