Little Rock officer to compete in Miss USA

A second lieutenant at Little Rock Air Force Base, Ark., will compete in the Miss USA pageant next spring after she was named Miss Arkansas USA on Saturday evening.

Second Lt. Kelly George, a resident of Sherwood, Ark., is deputy chief of public affairs for the Little Rock’s 314th Airlift Wing.

George has been preparing for pageants for more than a decade.

“The key is to embody all the qualities of a healthy lifestyle and be a good role model and represent yourself and the state well,” Kelly said in a press release.
