Pumpkins, Rain, and Donors

Yesterday was an adventure, to say the least! Upon arriving at Battlefield HS, I was among a sea of pumpkins, children's games and vendor booths. The fall weather was drippy yet soon the clouds and rain drops gave way to some chilly sunshine and a strong breeze. (Which, of course, took what was a good hair day to a whole new level!)
There was certainly lots to see and do! Most importantly, the Red Cross Donor Bus was waiting for donations! And of course, many answered the call. I feel blessed to have been a part of the event and to help others register to save lives. How easy is that?!?
Thankfully, instead of being on the bus, I was able to sit inside the high school where a waiting area had been prepared. This space provided an opportunity to share my story of survival and offer a great deal of appreciation for those that donated. It is always humbling to thank those that donate, after all, it's the probably the easiest way to save 2 lives yet so many choose not too.
