The former Miss Nevada that earned the wrath of Donald Trump for her racy photos and party girl antics is in trouble with the law. Katie Rees was arrested by a Las Vegas police officer in the early morning hours of February 6 and charged with speeding, driving with no proof of insurance, driving with suspended license plates, and resisting a police officer.
It all began when Rees’ car was pulled over by the officer for speeding. According to the official record the 23-year-old beauty queen became violent with the arresting officers, kicking and throwing elbows at them. She was taken into custody at the Clark County Detention Center, processed, had her mugshot taken and was then released without bail. A hearing at the Las Vegas Justice Court has been scheduled for March 8.
The legal representative for Rees tells a different story. According to Mario Torres, her Florida-based lawyer, it was the Vegas cops that were the ones in the wrong. "Based on the information I've received, the officer was very aggressive with her," Torres told the Associated Press. "They used aggression against her." Torres also says that Rees may have had a tooth chipped or knocked out in her encounter with the officers.
