This week, many of the Miss America Organization’s family and friends enjoyed an unforgettable Caribbean Cruise upon Royal Caribbean’s Majesty of the Seas. Over 30 titleholders, including Miss America 2007 Lauren Nelson, Miss America’s Outstanding Teen 2008 Caitlin Brunell, 3 former Miss Americas, and some of our Board members were on board for this once-in-a-lifetime event.

Due to the arrival of an uninvited guest – Hurricane Noel – some of the planned itinerary had to be rescheduled, but our Miss America Cruise participants made the best of the situation. Noel charted a path for the Bahamas, so after passengers enjoyed a fun-filled day in Key West, the crew of Majesty of the Seas set sail for Cozumel, Mexico. As Miss America Cruise participants, guests were invited to take part in many exclusive events with the titleholders on board - a talent show, private parties, and select dinner seating, to name just a few.

For many guests, the best part of the cruise may have been the private Halloween Costume Ball, which allowed the Miss America contestants to turn the tables on their guests. On this hilarious evening, they sat in the judges’ seats and bestowed prizes to their favorite costumed party goers.

This remarkable experience is sure to be forever remembered by those who sailed on the Miss America Cruise 2007.
