Mayor Oscar Goodman welcomed the Miss America Organization to Las Vegas this weekend. The pageant has moved from Atlantic City to Las Vegas this year.
The event takes place at the Aladdin Theatre for Performing Arts on Saturday. This year's 52 contestants, and the reigning Miss America were among those in attendance Saturday as Mayor Goodman offered a warm welcome. 'We'd like to think that we have all of the best events that take place throughout the world, making their home in Las Vegas, Nevada. To have the Miss America contest here is very, very special.'"
