JAMES DENTON is thrilled to host this year’s “Miss America Pageant” on Jan. 21, and although being surrounded by beautiful women is a big bonus, it’s shaving off his trademark scruffy beard for the event that he most looks forward to! “(For “Desperate Housewives”) We have to keep it at a four-day growth in order to preserve continuity, and it actually takes more work than just shaving it.” But, there is one thing the “Housewives” hunk absolutely refuses to do for the show. He insists there is no way he will sing the show’s theme, “There She Is, Miss America.” He’d like the producers to hire a special guest to sing the ditty, but so far, no one has stepped forward for the task!"
