Leah Massee, a 23-year-old blonde who gained entry as Miss Capital City, was crowned Miss Georgia Saturday night and will represent the state in the upcoming Miss America pageant.
Massee, a student at Valdosta State University from Fitzgerald, won three straight preliminary events in the previous nights heading into the finals for the 63rd Miss Georgia Pageant. Her degree is in communications and she is a mentor with the Children's Miracle Network.
Massee received a $15,000 scholarship.
