SEASIDE - Danijela Krstic, Miss Tri Valley, begins her reign as Miss Oregon with one thing in her sights: the Miss America title.
Krstic, who lives in Portland, was named Miss Oregon Saturday night amid ecstatic screams and cheers of family, friends and supporters at the packed Seaside Civic and Convention Center.
In addition to her $10,000 scholarship, she will advance to compete in the Miss America Pageant in Orlando, Fla., in August, hoping to follow in the footsteps of the 2002 winner, Katie Marie Harman, the only Miss Oregon to win the national title.
Heather Laible, Miss Emerald Valley was first runner-up. Anna Prosser, Miss Portland, was second runner-up. Billie Crane, Miss Marion-Polk County, was third runner-up, and Cassandra Tolman, Miss Southern Oregon, was fourth runner-up.
