Kirsten Haglund is way beyond the pinch-me stage.
Four months into a reign that includes schmoozing with celebrities such as Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa, Morgan Freeman and President Bush, and throwing the first pitch for the Detroit Tigers' Opening Day, the 19-year-old from Farmington Hills is comfortable in the glittery tiara and other trappings that come with her yearlong job as Miss America.
Yet just a few years ago, the willowy, 5-foot, 8-inch ballet student-turned beauty queen struggled to overcome an eating disorder that threatened not only her dream of becoming a Broadway star but her physical and mental health.
