There may be a break in the Miss Puerto Rico Universe case. The AP reports that a security guard who was "playing around" may have contaminated Ingrid Marie Rivera's clothes and makeup brush with pepper spray, according to the island's police chief.
Rivera, as you might remember, broke out in hives between stage appearances at the pageant -- but won anyway. Police have been investigating whether a foreign substance -- like, say, pepper spray -- had been applied to her clothing or accessories.
Police Chief Pedro Toledo didn't elaborate about the playing-around theory, but he did about something else: He said police are reviewing a video showing the same guard kissing a rival beauty contestant. The investigation, as they say, continues.
