| On behalf of the Miss America Organization, we want to express our sincere thanks to you for all of your support. As our ratings were the highest in cable and our best ever since our move from network television, we would like to take a moment and share some memorable moments that were captured throughout the week.
With the incredible vision of Tall Pony Productions, who were behind the scenes and created the fabulous opening production number featuring our 53 contestants dancing to "Ive Gotta Feeling," we all had the feeling that it was going to be a good, good night!! Our contestants worked very hard to shine brightly and fill the stage with energy and excitement, as we began our journey to the crowning of Miss America 2010.
We sincerely thank all of you who came to Las Vegas to be a part of our 89th-year celebration, and we truly appreciate all of the family and friends who helped fill the sold-out Planet Hollywood Theater! Our thanks to Planet Hollywood, to TLC, and to all of you who tuned in to support us. We captured 4.5 million viewers this year, and we are grateful to all of you!
Special thanks go out to our State Executive Directors, our distinguished Board members and our Chairman, Sam Haskell, as well as our beloved Miss Americas, for making this a most memorable pageant. You have set the bar high as we all prepare for our spectacular 90th anniversary ahead!
