There is a video I couldn't clip, so please visit the source for the vid.
So Caressa Cameron, crowned Miss America on Sunday, opened her yearlong reign with some alienating things to say about video games. Chalk that up to extemporaneous speaking. Here she assures Major Nelson she wants to learn how to play them. We mentioned that Cameron's first post-coronation comments were intended to motivate parents to set better standards for their children, but devolved into the usual shut-off-the-console cliché. In this video currently available on Xbox Live, she tells the Major that she enjoys watching other people play games, and the only reason she doesn't is because her little brother's time on the console interferes with her learning how to play them
"Tell your gamers to keep gaming!" she says at the end. "Somebody teach me how!" We will, Caressa, if you teach us how to play imaginary games in the street with sticks!
