This past weekend was the 16th annual Association of Fire Fighters of Illinois Honor Guard conference, of which Ron attended Saturday and Sunday. Saturday night was the induction ceremony and dinner....bagpipes, new and established Honor Guard members, great food and.......400 HOT Firefighters!! Need I even go on? We were invited to sit with the HG members from Highland Park Fire Dept. so gracious and kind and they had beautiful wives! I really felt so honored to be a part of the pageantry and am equally proud of Ron for the way he serves our community as well as our country. Ron actually brought the Honor Guard to his fire department 10 years ago and they inducted a new member this past weekend. |
