YOU'LL soon be seeing more of this beauty queen in her lingerie. Ms Jennifer Hawkins (right), 22, who was Miss Universe 2004, has just signed a three-year, six-figure modelling deal with an Australian lingerie label, Lovable Lingerie, reported the Daily Telegraph in Sydney yesterday. This will not be the first time she will be seen in her undies. | File picture | Two years ago, Ms Hawkins suffered a 'wardrobe malfunction' during a fashion show. She was left wearing little more than a red G-string when the hem of her metallic lace dress got tangled in her stiletto heel, unravelled to the waist and dropped to the floor as she sashayed down a catwalk in Sydney. This time, she says she is well-prepared to appear in public in her underwear as the star of an advertising campaign for the lingerie label. 'That (malfunction) worried me at the time and I was really embarrassed. But it just goes to show it's those little things that make you stronger,' she told the Telegraph. Indeed, it was that slip-up that helped her land the lucrative contract. The lingerie firm's boss, Mr Michael Gazal, said that the way she handled the situation was 'indicative of her natural personality and sense of fun. It's a good fit with our brand'. Ms Hawkins has also contributed to the design of the collection, choosing colours and giving product advice. 'They're very cheeky and sexy but not too revealing,' she told the Telegraph of the bras and panties. Of the upcoming lingerie billboard campaign, she said: 'I've seen those massive billboards before and it's going to be so exciting and a bit weird to see myself up there.'
