The small, central-Kentucky town of Russell Springs is preparing a welcome home celebration for the new Miss U-S-A 2006.
Tara Conner was Miss Kentucky, and was recently crowned Miss USA. The town is already planning to put up highway signs at the city limits that say "Home of Tara Conner, Miss U-S-A 2006."
The principal of Russell County High School where Conner graduated says her new title is a big deal for the community.
Conner will compete in the Miss Universe Pageant on July 23rd in Los Angeles.
