SALT LAKE CITY - Senior women from all over the state are being sought to show the world that seniors are talented, active, informed, accomplish goals and serve in their communities.

Any woman who is 60 years of age or older, is invited to become a participant. Entrants may be married, widowed, divorced or single, and must be a resident of Utah and a U.S. citizen.

"We lived in Southern Utah full-time for several years and enjoy our St. George home in the winter," said George Murdocks, co-director of the pageant. "We know that there are a host of talented Senior women in Southern Utah but no resident from that area has ever participated in the annual Ms. Utah Senior America Pageant. We are hoping to see wonderful Senior women from St. George and the surrounding areas participate this year."

Senior America is a national service organization established in 1972 to promote programs and activities to enhance the lives of senior Americans.
