SEYMOUR, Ind. -- Miss America Katie Stam will return to her southern Indiana hometown in two weeks for the first time since being crowned in January.
The 22-year-old Seymour resident will be welcomed back March 4 with a parade from Seymour High School to City Hall and make other Indiana appearances in the following days.
She won't be able to stay at the home of parents, Keith and Tracy Stam, because of Miss America guidelines, but they are eager for a reunion after her travels across the country since the winning the title Jan. 24 in Las Vegas.
"We're looking forward to seeing her again," Tracy Stam said. "It seems like it's been such a long time."
